Assaf, Simoneaux, Tauzin and Associates, Inc. (AST) is a full service mechanical and electrical consulting engineering firm. Projects have included design, production of contract documents and construction administration for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, building automation, electrical distribution, lighting, telecommunication infrastructure and energy reduction systems including central plants. In addition to design, our firm has extensive experience with studies of all types including Energy Audits of existing buildings to recommend energy saving measures. Retrofit, upgrade, and renovation projects make up approximately 50% of the firm's work.

AST has been involved with a variety of projects ranging from several million dollars down to relatively small projects. The types of projects have included buildings and infrastructures associated with universities, medical facilities, and office complexes. The firm applies value engineering considerations to every project. We strive to produce complete, accurate and properly coordinated design documents within agreed schedules and budgets.

Our staff has the special expertise required for commercial, educational, public and institutional projects. Our experience has included providing engineering services for several major state universities, office complexes and medical facilities with work ranging through Canada, the Caribbean and 27 states in the US.

AST makes extensive use of computers in all of its operations. The firm currently has a Windows 2003 network for engineering analysis, word processing and CAD. All drawings are produced utilizing AutoCAD.
